Hey, guys. I know I've been woefully absent lately and one of these days will pop in with a life update ZZZZZZZZ and, who knows? Maybe even fic \o/ And maybe Ellen and Jo's deaths were only a figment of our imaginations ::sobs:: But, for now, I'm just going to slip in and do a quick hit and post…

The holidays are upon us and, at times like these we often turn our attention to those in need. At my work we're sponsoring a needy family (a single mom with 2 kids) and hubby and I support other important causes currently rallying the troops for the season. As always though, my thoughts turn to the animals in need every bit as much as to my fellow mud monkeys.

Once again The Great JDM Birthday Project is focusing its energies on The Brittany Foundation charity for homeless dogs. The drive went "live" a few weeks ago so I've been remiss in my John-girl duties by not posting about it until now. There's still plenty of time to contribute though since the drive doesn't close until April 22, 2010.

Please check out the Donate JDM link to find out more about this wonderful charity and to wish Jeff a Happy Birthday while you're at it. There are wonderful pictures of Jeff and Bisou on the site to warm your heart while you read plus a report from Jeff's mom, Sandy, about her 2009 visit to the foundation.

So, that's it for now. I hope all of you from south of the border have recovered from your big family meals and had wonderful Thanksgivings.

PS erinrua - talk to you in about 2 hours, pard ;).
