Baaaaad puppy!

I've said it to some of you and on many occasions to my RL friends and family. Cannon is without a doubt the brattiest pup I've ever had.

Case in point, the blinds in our slowly-being-renovated "dog room"...

I came home to this sight today. The window is about a foot away from his exercise pen (in which Cannon resides while we're away at work). Which means he had to bounce the x-pen over closer to the blinds before he could annihilate them.

What some of you might find idiotic odd is that I'm not even remotely pissed off. Rather, I'm highly amused and fairly impressed. At his tenacity and brains. He is a character and with so much negative shit happening around me these days, I prefer to look at this and laugh. A lot. (Okay, so maybe a little hysterically.) Atta boy, Cannon! Way to use your thick, scruffy skull.

Now, had they been new blinds... SHEESH!

Thank-you. RL is bumpy but I keep trying to remind myself others have it much worse and that usually helps me to keep on truckin'. ;)

goofy phetchpup

Ha! He must have really thought they looked like fun. Don't you wish you had video, complete with little thought bubbles? :)

I swear I could see the thought bubbles the one time I caught him bouncing the x-pen over toward hubby's hunting gear that had been hanging from the ceiling of that room. He just knew he could reach the sleeves if he kept moving the pen along LOL

A video would be priceless!

Yes when they do things like that we have to laugh. And if you think about it,it took problem solving skills for him to figure out how to get close to the blinds.

Absolutely! Cannon has brains and, once we harness that, I know he'll make one awesome companion and working dog. In the mean time, we just have to survive him LOL

othello

LOL!!!
I'm sure I told you about the time Othello bounced the crate to my mother's windows and shredded her shears - she was NOT amused... and the time, during my father's funeral when he escaped his crate and set off the alarm... again, my mother was NOT amused....

We need to figure out when we can do lunch!!!
I'm here until about the 8th or 9th...

Too smart LOL. There are times when I can see the wheels turning with Cannon and, at this stage, it always means trouble ;)

I'm off work the week between the holidays - back to work Monday the 3rd. I've got commitments so far the 25th, 27th, 28th, 1st and 2nd but somewhere in there we should be able to swing something! We have to LOL!

Yes! I have your tvGuides! Want to say - tentatively and based on the weather, the 30th or 31st?

Boys Xmas

Sure! Also, I could likely swing a 1pm meet on the 28th if that turns out to be a possibility as well. We'll have to keep an eye on the weather ;)

The 28th is out - that's when we're having Christmas with my sister - so I'll wave as I drive to and from Toronto that day... But definitely we will watch the weather!

Oh, that is one bad puppy. And a pretty tenacious one too. I can't imagine how much fun he had mangling those blinds.

So what are you going to do, stake down the x-pen?

Good luck with that one.

So what are you going to do, stake down the x-pen?

I've considered that but over the holidays he's going to graduate from x-pen to "full-time" crating. We have a friend over every day to let the dogs out at lunch so I could've started it earlier but I like to give them more room to grow than that. He'll be 6 months on the 2nd so he should do fine with that.

I bet, like Cooper, he'll figure out how to open the crate though. Coop has a bungee cord helping to keep his closed when crated. Somehow I'm certain Cannon will be in need of one too ;)
