I think, for the most part, you could enjoy the fics without knowing all the episodes. Even the ep-related stories usually provide enough back-story within them or in the author's notes. Still, placing an order with Katt would resolve any concerns ;)

For the most part, they're RDA-centric (not a bad thing) but there's at least one clip per almost every episode and many of her videos are somewhat episode summaries so you might want to check them out.

As a FYI, for the most part I'd say the DVDs that Katt have are better quality than the "german" clips, more on par with these latter links.
