Taking The Leap

July 7th, 2007 (02:21 pm)

how i am: confused
accompanied by: The music of 7 dogs keeping quiet

I've had this account for a little while now, never intending to do a thing with it aside from using it to give me access to certain Supernatural fan related LJ-sites. Like I needed another reason to spend time on the Web!

I wonder if neglect is grounds for divorce in the Canadian courts?

Maybe I could spend hours do some surfing to find out?

Yeah, that about defines me these days.

Mostly I'm on line reading fic or, despite a hard fought battle I lost to resist the pull, I'm writing it.

The pretty sucked me in, along with the sexy and the snarky and I dare say it was ultimately the awesome talent of one Jensen Ackles that did me in. Because, let's face it, there's an awful lot of pretties out there in TV-land. None of them can gut me like he can though.

Oh, the Impala helped too, along with the classic rock. Devious he is, that Eric Kripke dude.

So, after sending a review for an amazing story forwarded to me yesterday, I realized my icon, or rather, non-icon, looked pretty pathetic sitting beside my comments and that prompted me to look at my profile and, well, here I am spending an excessive amount of time on the web when there's housework to be done and overnight company on the way. Trying to write something intelligible and catchy when in truth I haven't a freakin' clue what I'm doing here or if this will ever be read.

And since I just confessed to not having a clue, before I sign off, I'll just take a moment to shamelessly plug my Supernatural fic which, at the moment (because, once again, in case I haven't made myself perfectly clear, I really don't have a clue what I'm doing on this site) is archived at fanfiction-dot-net. If you want to check it out, my author name is may7fic.

Well.... I couldn't find your email, so I'll just do it here. HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYY! (would you like a fic, an icon, a banner?)

Oh, that is just too sweet... trying that hard to send birthday wishes :). My hubby is presently in the States, has been for almost a week. I'm not laying odds he'll remember ;).

Apparently my email mustn't be available to friends in my profile. Gotta love being a lj newbie (g). I'll figure it out. In the meant time, for future reference, you can get me at vagabondjrs @ rogers dot com.

Sweetie, asking me if I'd like a fic written BY YOU is like asking Dean if he wants pie (LOL). If you have something coming down the pike, I'd love to see it. If you have the capacity to write "on demand" (which I'm afraid, as a complete and total slave to my muse, I'm incapable of), I'd simply love to see a positive moment between John and a younger Dean (think 17-21), maybe one that shows us a little why an almost 30 year old (Bloodlust, Nightshifter) still hero-worships his dad.

Of course a "brothers", "gorgeous Jensen" or "Dad & Dean" icon would be a huge treat too, and probably much easier for you ;)

Thanks for thinking of me! You're a doll!

Oh yei! Thanks for the email :) lj gets easier the more you use it, I vouch for that.Heh!

Mkay.Lemme see what I can do about fic/icon thingy. It might take a while but eventually i do complete stuff. :)

God, it took me forever to post my latest one-shot here last week! Damn near as long to post it as it did to write it (g). In part because I hadn't tried to upload anything since Armistice so I'd forgotten what I'd learned from that little experience. Anyway, felt like an idiot but at least got it up there. I *think* I like lj... just need to get a little more comfy with it.

Thanks again so much for thinking of me. Hubby apparently did forget though I've been speaking with him once/day ;). That's truly okay... it becomes chuckle worthy for me since I know he's going to feel bad once he actually finds out the date. I've been off work on vacation too and had already lost track of time. Had no idea yesterday was Sunday LOL.
